Geography/ Week of April 23-27

This week students will continue to apply the Five Themes of Geography to a Create your own Culture project.
This project is done in class, in groups of three.  Due dates are given in class as well as information to think, discuss and do.

World History/ Week of April 23-27

This week we are watching the History Channel video about the Battle of Thermopylae
Students will be writing an epitaph for the Spartan King Leonidas.  Background, directions and due date will be given in class this week.

Geography- Week of April 9-13

Day 1-3
1. Students introduced to the Create a Culture project
2. Students pick partners (3 in a group)
3. Students receive and go over the packet: Making Decisions
4. This packet is due at the end of Day 3 this week
5. Students will be earning daily points for how they work with the group

Day 1

1. Presentation of  country tri folds
2. HW: None

Day 2

1. Presentations continued
2. If time allows students will be given a Five Themes of Geography handout
3. HW: None

Day 3

1. Five Themes of Geography handout
2. Read with partners and highlight main ideas and facts
3. Fill in answers to questions.
4. Due Day 1 next week
5. HW: finish the hanout

World History Week of April 3-6

Day 1

1. Reviewed for the Black Ships test
2. Used the Character handout in small groups.
3. Character handout is due the day of the test.
4. HW: Make sure you bring your Black Ship book to class test day AND the character
    handout (points given)

Day 2 (periods 1, 2, 3)

1. Black Ships Before Troy test
2. You will have the whole period to finish.
3. Turn in the character handout
4. HW: none

Day 3 (periods 4, 8)
