This week students will be working on the Creating a Culture group project.
They are applying the Five Themes of Geography to their culture.
Specific directions will be given and discussed in class.
Students will use the notes they took in their composition books to assist them with the following themes:
1. Location
a. draw a map...where in the world is your culture?
b. provide coordinates
2. Region
a. food
b. architecture (single dwellings, community, gathering place)
3. Movement
a. map of your location before your migration and of your final destination
b. label countries around your final destination (think relative location)
4. Human, Environment Interaction
a. How did your culture affect the environment at your final destination for the
positive and for the negative
b. This is a written description not a drawn out one
